Taking an ‘Unprecedented’ Approach to Marketing

March 27, 2021 | Articles

If we had a nickel for every time we heard the word “unprecedented” in the last year, we would all be retired. The it-word of 2020 has been used to describe almost every single aspect of our lives, from big to small, since COVID-19 first showed up. While the word can leave a sour taste in your mouth when remembering all of the ways these things have impacted our lives, it is wise to remember that not every “unprecedented” thing is necessarily bad.

At Mill + Co. we take an unprecedented approach to marketing, and we think that’s a pretty great thing. Our founder, Rachel Ballatori, shares some insights about why Mill + Co. stands out from the crowd.

“We don’t act like an outside vendor, we want to be a part of your team, an extension of you, shoulder-to-shoulder working through all aspects of your business, brand and marketing goals and opportunities,” Ballatori explains. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that it is important to have compassion and to see things from a perspective of the people you are trying to understand. We bring that approach into each and every one of our client relationships.

“We bring all aspects of strategy, marketing and advertising together, through a singular, seamless process from start to finish. We focus on strategy first, the blueprint, instead of leading with execution, the building.” Ballatori holds strong to her metaphor of a mill, noting that the strongest construction comes from solid blueprints. She takes that motto with her for every project, and sees impressive results every time.

But it is not just a matter of strong creative branding strategy guided by excellent client relationships. Ballatori provides direction for how to elevate your brand even further, providing insight into what really stands out to customers, “No matter the brand, the product or service, what’s incredibly important is for brands to communicate to their customers is frequently, consistently and transparently.” She emphasizes that “establishing trust and security from brands to customers” is extremely valuable, especially in a time as uncertain as the present.

While nothing could have prepared us for all that 2020 had in store, there is something to be said for the resiliency that has come out in all of us. With a strong foundation, it is easy to be steady, even when shaken. At Mill + Co., we have found this to be true by sticking to our guiding principles and providing creativity, long-lasting and productive client relationships, and strategy aimed at client trust. We hope that we can help your brand do the same.
